Oh how I miss my sister. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I have so many mixed feelings and pray every night that it will get easier. Each time I walk into my room I see my sister looking back at me. I have the picture of me and her that she had beside her bed that is now beside mine. I can't help but cry each time I look at it. All the great memories I have of her run through my head each night. I am so afraid that I will forget one and not be able to share them with my children. I think that is what I am most mad about is that my children want grow up to know the best Aunt they ever had.
Memories of our childhood
Laura and I loved to play out back of our old house in the bushes with our dolls and mom's dishes. It was our little club house that the boys couldn't play in.
Laura and I shared a room until we moved to Loper Road. Then we had our own but don't worry we still shared alot.
I cut Laura's hair and then called Nanny to come and pick me up before mom could find me. I only did this because I wanted to have longer hair than Laura.
We would always play Barbee together and would ride our bike's to the Pittman's to play with Melissa and Kimberly.
We took dance and took piano lessons together.
When I went off to college Laura loved it because she was then the only child at home. But she soon came to GSU with me. No we did not room together we would have killed each other. She did call me often to bring her food or medicine. Like always.
She was my maid of honor at my wedding. She said that she had to pick out the dresses so that she would look best. And that she did. She looked awesome at my wedding but when did she not look good.
The morning Josh called me that Laura had been in an accident headed to school I jumped out of bed and rushed to the hosiptal to be with her. I stayed with her most of the day and until she went into surgery that night around 9pm to have a rod put in her thigh. I cryed that night seeing her in all that pain. I went up to the hosiptal everyday to see her and washed her long hair on the side of the bed several times since she couldn't take a shower. She loved being pampered. Laura was always there for me. When they put Mackenzie in the hosiptal at 3 months Laura came up to stay with me until Mom could get there. She was the stronger one of us. Anytime anything happened to the family she was there with each of us.
She came to both of the births of my children. When we where in Gatlinburg, TN I was nine months pregnant with Ethan she had a bear made for him with a heart that she kissed and stuffed in it. And for Mackenzie when we went to Myrtle Beach she bought her this huge pink piggy bank for her room. I will always cherish this items.
My most favorite memory is of this book that we both loved when we were children which is "Where is Spot". At my baby shower she found the Anniversary copy of the book and bought it for Ethan and he loves the book just as much as we did.
My heart aches so much for her and I just want to touch her and huge her and tell her how much I love her. She was my best friend and she would always take up for me unless it was one of our fights with each other. I would do anything in the world for her.
I miss her everyday and every moment. She was the best sister ever.
I know I jumped around with this post but I just wanted to share my memories and hope to remember everything. I have so much to write about and hope to keep the memories alive.
